This article has been updated as of 2018. It now reflects my view concerning what I have written of found in my conscience and New Revelation. The revelation of the Om Omnilogos. All writings concerning the Om Omnilogos can be found on this website in the category called; “A New Revelation.” It is still a work in progress.
The Aquarian gospel of Jesus was written by Levi H. Dowling. Dowling claimed to be a Christian for much of his life, according to statements made by his wife Eva. She describes him as a dedicated Christian worker who produced Sunday school materials, served as the pastor of a church, and was a Chaplain in the US Army. According to the introduction to Dowling’s gospel, he claims to have received the text from the Akashic records.
The akashic records (akasha is a Sanskrit word meaning “sky,” “space” or “aether”) is a term used in theosophy (and Anthroposophy) to describe a compendium of mystical knowledge encoded in a non-physical plane of existence. These records are described as containing all knowledge of human experience and the history of the cosmos. They are metaphorically described as a library; other analogies commonly found in discourse on the subject include a “universal supercomputer” and the “Mind of God.”
People who describe the records assert that they are constantly updated automatically and that they can be accessed through astral projection or when someone is placed under deep hypnosis. The concept was popularized in the theosophical movements of the 19th century and is derived from Hindu philosophy of Samkhya. It is promulgated in the Samkhya philosophy that the Akashic records are automatically recorded in the atoms of akasha (“air” or “aether”), one of the five types of atoms visualized as existing in the atomic theory of Ancient India. The term akashic records is frequently used in New Age discourse.
No written manuscripts are known to exist of the Akashic records. It is said to be a library of all knowledge which is stored in the air in the Sanskrit language. One is supposed to access the record through special extra-sensory powers. Dowling claims to be one such person who was able to access the non-existent records. It is interesting to note that the word ‘Sanskrit’ means “self-made.” Moreover, these self made transcripts was obtained through Dowlings means of time travel – as it is said that he achieved this by traveling back in time by the power of his mind and he was able to witness everything, as if he was there with Jesus.
Levi Dowling used paraphrased excerpts of the New Testament Gospels, particularly Luke, mixed in with that of the Kabbalah. In addition to numbering the chapters, he assigned a Hebrew letter to each one in aleph-bet order. He also hesitates to use the Greek name “Jesus” for the name of the Christ child (in other words, no association with Jesus & the Christ). No explanation is given as to why the author blends Hebrew and Greek into a document that is supposed to be a direct translation from Sanskrit to English.
Esoteric Christian Tradition
According to the Esoteric Christian tradition, such as the Rosicrucians, the proximity and entrance in the Age of Aquarius – occurring after the present Age of Pisces, or age ruled by the “Sword” – will bring to the majority of human beings the discovery, true living and real knowledge of the inner and deeper Christian teachings which the Christ spoke of in Matthew 13:11 and Luke 8:10. This age is regarded as an intermediary preparation toward the Christ in the etheric plane, the New Galilee: the “new heavens and a new earth” to come at an unknown point in the future.
In the Aquarian age at hand, it is expected that a great spiritual traditions is to come (“is coming”), through the school which works as herald of this age, in order “to give the Christian Religion impetus in a new direction.” Others who do not herald the idea of a physical spiritual teacher in contrast to the antichrist believe that the Spiritual teacher will truly be themselves, and that Christ will manifest himself within those who seek these Inner teachings.
This is also similar to the doctrines and teachings of what is called the Christ consciencness – aka – The New Spirituality.
Christ Consciencness is a panentheistic teaching promoted by religious individuals outside Orthodoxy. The doctrine teaches that all people have God inside them, waiting to be discovered, liberated and empowered. One is required to adopt and practice “spiritual disciplines” to unlock and channel the power of one’s mind.
Matthew Fox, formerly a Catholic priest, is known for his teaching of such doctrines. Fox was denounced by the Roman Catholic Church and subsequently embraced by the Episcopal Church USA. Another major proponent of this teaching is Leonard Sweet, a professor of Evangelism at Drew University. Sweet is also an ordained Methodist minister and leader in the Emergent church. The language of Creation Spirituality is also found in the principals of The Center for Progressive Christianity. Oprah Winfrey is currently teaching about this Christ Consciousness in her 10-week Internet course on Eckhart Tolle’s book.
The Aquarian Gospel Makes the Following Caims, Among Other Things
1. The revelation of the Aquarian Gospel was prophesied 2000 years ago by Elihu, who conducted a school of the prophets in Zoan, Egypt. He said thus: “This age will comprehend but little of the works of Purity and Love; but not a word is lost, for in the Book of God’s Remembrance a registry is made of every thought and word and deed. And when the world is ready to receive, lo, God will send a messenger to open up the book and copy from its sacred pages all the messages of Purity and Love. – Aquarian Gospel 7:25-26
2. Jesus puts on the role of The Christ, but is not automatically Christ by nature. By making himself, through effort and prayer, a fit vessel, Jesus enabled The Christ to dwell within him. Christ is therefore used as a term for the perfect human being that Jesus exemplified, a human being that has been “Christened” (anointed) and therefore made holy.
3. Jesus came to earth to show the way back to God via his lifestyle and teachings. He is the example we must model our own lives after, if we seek salvation.
4. Reincarnation exists, and is the explanation for various seeming injustices. Reincarnation allows people to settle debts they have incurred in past lives.
5. Humanity has forgotten God and is currently working its way back to fully remembering God.
6. Time is separated into ages. These ages last approximately 2,000 years. We are now nearing the start of the Aquarian Age.
7. All souls will eventually mature and become perfect, like Jesus, thus ending the cycle of reincarnation.
8. No soul is ever abandoned by God.
With reference to numbers 1 to 8, the only ones I personally disagree with is number 2 and 7. All things must have a beginner and a beginning. The body of Jesus Christ may have always existed – hence the Om Omnilogos writings. And since it always existed, then He, God and Christ are One and the same (Hebrews 11:6, John 1:1, 14 and Isaiah 9:6). They are of the Eternal Holy Spirit (Hebrews 9:14).
The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ (full title: The Aquarian Age Gospel of Jesus, the Christ of the Piscean Age) is a book derived from the practice in astrology, of naming time periods, in terms of constellations, and their dominant positions in the sky. In that system, the Age of Aquarius is approaching. It is also interesting to know that this other gospel was adopted by New Age spiritual groups. But it also points to fruits of righteousness and virtues of the Spirit. So whether it is a true manuscript, as in the metaphysical sense, or a out right fable; one can not deny its godly aspirations.
